Program Prerequisites
Students must meet the following criteria to be considered. Please thoroughly review these criteria prior to applying. Applications that do not meet the following criteria will not be reviewed.

Minimum of 18 years of age.

Minimum GPA of 3.5.

Science major of biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, chemistry, and biochemistry.

Unfortunately, public health, nursing, psychology and kinesiology do not qualify for this opportunity. Please do not apply.

Must be currently residing in California, USA.

This is an in-person opportunity, not remote.

Must be able to commit at least one year of internship service.

This opportunity occurs year-round. Summer only applicants will not be considered.​

Admissions occur year-round on a rolling basis. There are two broad internship categories with available positions:

Student Research Intern (BIO 199) :

Undergraduate credits may be applied to coursework
-
12-16 hours per week split among 2-3 days required (weekdays during business hours only).

Junior Research Specialist :

Bachelor of Science graduates only

Accepted majors include: Biology, Biomedical Science, Bioengineering.

Anticipated Applicant Timeline
As aforementioned, acceptances are granted on a rolling basis year-round based on lab staffing needs and availability.
As of Monday, 11/23/2020, our application is open. This round of applications will be concluded on 12/19/2020.

lnterviews are held individually per student, and will be conducted exclusively over Zoom.

Please arrive to your interview promptly. If you fail to attend this interview, there will not be a reschedule opportunity.
